Investing in Future Christ-Followers

Amy's Baptism - smaller - Amy's BaptismFollowing Jesus is a journey; we’ve never completely arrived and it’s never too late to take the first step.  Those of us who have begun this journey consider it a privilege to get to encourage those who are still considering taking their first steps.  The Bible teaches us that we become followers of Jesus not only for our own benefit but so we can help others make the same decision.

The biblical writer Paul describes it this way, This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!  And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.  For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.  So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, ‘Come back to God!’ For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.  – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

If you’re not yet a follower of Jesus please know that you’re welcome at Trinity Family.  You’ll find that there’s room for doubts, questions, struggles and that none of us have got it all figured out.  At least not yet, anyway!
